Saturday July 18th Big Al & the Heavyweights Big Al Website will be at Roscoe's Bar & Lounge. Roscoe's is a great little club just down the road from the Red WolfRoscoe's Bar & Lounge. Address is 3300 Jefferson Avenue SW, Birmingham, AL 35211. There is plenty of well-lit off street parking. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 day of show or at the door. Big Al & Tickets
Sunday July 19th Blues Cruise on the Harriott II. We have arranged a road trip to cruise the Alabama River and listen to the John Bull Trio. Boarding starts at 4:30pm sharp and sets sail at 5pm returning about 7pm. Tickets are $35. For more information on the cruise check here Harriott II Cruise
Friday July 24th from 5:30pm - 9pm at Elysian Gardens Big Martha, Early James, the 64's and a host of special guests will play a fundraiser for long time MCBS members Chuck & Dawn Simmons' son Eric. Eric recently lost his wife tragically and has incurred extensive financial debt. A $20 donation is requested. Please do come out and support the Simmons family.
Sunday August 2nd @ 4pm-7pm our First Sunday at Elysian Gardens entertainment will be Rob Harris & Friends. The "& Friends" means that Rob will be inviting musicians who would like to play a couple of songs to sit in with the band during his second set. So come out to be entertained or possibly be one of the entertainers! A mere $10 donation is requested for the band.
Our Battle of the Blues Bands is set for Sunday October 11th at the Woodlawn Theater. it's not too soon to start planning how to enter and win!
