The Magic City Blues Society (MCBS) will hold its 14th Annual Magic City Blues Fest on Sunday, September 2, 2007, 12:00 Noon - 8:00pm, at the Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark, Birmingham, Alabama. This fun-filled, lively, entertaining and educational festival has been an annual event since the Society’s inception in 1993.

This annual Magic City Blues Fest is the only local music festival that strictly focuses on “Blues” music. Only “Blues” musicians and bands will be playing. In addition to 9 hours of non-stop Blues music, the festival will feature day-long vendors, including Barbeque by Jim & Nicks, along with activities that provide a wide array of entertainment for the entire family including Blues harmonica lessons by master harp blower “Harpdog” Marson.

Youngsters, seniors, artists, Blues music lovers and others will have a unique opportunity to come together for this family day. This is the Society’s main annual event that exposes the public to Blues music, its history and tradition.

The Blues is very much a part of Southern life and our heritage, and has never received the cultural recognition it deserves. The Magic City Blues Society strives to create awareness and an appreciation of the Blues.

Blues Fest 2007

This is a terrific line up - The last time I saw Debbie Davies she blew me away and same for Margolin. Margolin was as good as it gets in Gadsden a couple years ago

HOWEVER Mikey Jr & Stone Cold Blues Band is gonna knock your socks off - I think they are from New Jersey you will seldom see them around here. You do not want to miss these guys, saw ‘em in Memphis and they will rock the house at Sloss. GUARANTEED !!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to this event !!

Brother Leo speaketh the truth.
I have heard Deb Davies perform; she is a most righteous blues artiste.
She herself worthy of the blue vest(Bro.Leo sings about )
I am looking forward to soaking it up...or maybe that should be sopping it up.
